Aaron Wyanski is a composer who strives to balance mystery and clarity within intimate, sensuous sound worlds. Recent projects include commissions for the Amaranth String Quartet, violinist Roger Zahab, Ensemble 4saxess, and double bassist Krista Kopper.  Wyanski’s music has been featured as part of the Hartford New Music Festival and his works have premiered at New Music on the Point, the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival, and New England Conservatory’s Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice. He recently completed his DMA in Composition at the Hartt School, where he also taught composition as a teaching fellow. At Hartt, Wyanski studied with Ken Steen, Gilda Lyons, and Robert Carl, and Wyanski received his MFA in composition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts where his teachers included Roger Zahab, John Mallia, and Jonathan Bailey Holland.
