Aaron Wyanski

Aaron Wyanski is a composer who balances mystery and clarity within intimate, sensuous sound worlds. His works have been commissioned by performers throughout the United States, including the Amaranth String Quartet, Roger Zahab (violin), ensemble 4saxess, and Krista Kopper (double bass), as well as featured on various festivals, including the Hartford New Music Festival. Wyanski holds a DMA in composition from the Hartt School, an MFA in composition from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a BM in jazz piano from Purchase College. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Vermont College of Fine Arts. An active educator, Wyanski was a teaching fellow at the Hartt School and an inaugural Sweet Briar College-Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Teaching Fellow, and he maintains a private studio in piano and composition. He lives and works in Pittsburgh.
